Conference FAQ

Where will the conference be held?
The Journal of Mormon Polygamy Conference will take place at the University of Utah Guest House, located at 110 Fort Douglas Boulevard, Salt Lake City, Utah 84113

What are the dates and times of the conference?
The conference will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and on Saturday, March 22, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM. We have planned a full schedule with presentations, debates, and interactive sessions to ensure a rewarding experience for all attendees. (None of the sessions are concurrent, so the full audience will attend each session).

What is the cost to attend the conference?
The ticket prices for the conference are as follows:

  • $70 per individual
  • $120 for a couple
This includes access to all sessions, the workshop from the University of Utah’s Special Collections, and participation in networking activities. Please note that meals are not included in the ticket price (see below for more information on meals).

Is parking available at the venue?
Yes! Parking is free for the event. There will be two different parking options available.

Will meals be provided?
Meals will not be provided at the event, but we have organized an exciting opportunity for attendees to dine with the speakers. On Saturday March 22, lunch will be held at a restaurant of your choosing in small groups with our featured speakers. This will be an informal and interactive chance to connect with experts in the field over a meal. You’ll have the freedom to choose a restaurant that suits your preferences while having meaningful discussions with fellow attendees and presenters.

Can I register for the conference at the door?
Registration is only available online at journalofmormonpolygamy.org. The conference is expected to sell out, so we highly recommend registering online as soon as possible to guarantee your conference ticket and lunch spot!

What should I bring to the conference?
We recommend bringing a notebook or device for taking notes, especially since there will be plenty of new research and thought-provoking discussions.

Will there be opportunities to network with other attendees?
Yes! In addition to the small group lunches with speakers, the conference will include ample networking opportunities during breaks and the interactive sessions. We encourage all attendees to engage with one another, share their research, and discuss ideas throughout the event.
